Wendy Nordvik-Carr is a passionate visual storyteller, skilled journalist, travel writer, content creator, photographer, videographer and social media influencer.

She has travelled more than 484,000 km by land, sea and air to: 40 countries, 34 US states, eight Canadian provinces and territories; visiting 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and over 140 national and state/provincial parks in the USA and Canada and South America. She has taken thousands of photographs and videos.

For more than 20 years, she worked in the fast-paced newsrooms of The Vancouver Sun and The Province, as well as producing content for Postmedia. She recently left her position to continue her passion for travel and to learn more about people from around the world.

Wendy is the creator and content producer of LifesIncredibleJourney.com, a travel website that encourages exploration of destinations near and far. Before entering her journalism career, she was manager of travel services for BCAA where she was fully focused on training agents and promoting domestic travel all over North America. She was also responsible for liaison with government, tourism departments, associations and representatives. Wendy can still do a Triptik routing to almost anywhere!

Wendy’s work has appeared in print and online in The Vancouver Sun, The Province and across Canada other Postmedia publications. She has also contributed to Westworld Magazine and Reader’s Digest Canadian Book of the Road (a motorists guide to Canada) and the CAA/AAA Western Canada Tour Book.

She is a member of the Travel Media Association of Canada, Society of American Travel Writers, North American Travel Journalists Association and Canadian Association of Journalists.
