I'm the Canadian editor of Utah-based National Parks Traveler and freelance for a variety of other online and print publications. I've written two cookbooks and two travel books that are part of a global series of insider guides — 111 Places in Calgary That You Must Not Miss (2020) and 111 Places in Ottawa That You Must Not Miss (September 2022).  I spent 18 years at the Toronto Star as travel editor, food editor and Saucy Lady columnist before leaving to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfiction (2020) and the freelance life. I live in Toronto and have a writing retreat on Fogo Island, Newfoundland.
