As the theme park capital of the world, Orlando continues to embrace new and returning visitors with an array of experiences. From the enchanting magic of Walt Disney World and the immersive thrills of Universal Studios to the welcoming charm of its neighbourhoods and culinary scene, Orlando has long been on the radar of Canadians, but the city offers a range of itineraries to cater to the nostalgic, the new and the curious.

Experience the enchanting summer magic at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, inspired by Disney’s The Princess and The Frog. Scheduled to open this summer, visitors can join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on their journey through a shimmering bayou. Dreamworks Land is set to debut an all-new themed land featuring DreamWorks Animations’ beloved characters in themed, interactive play spaces and attractions that bring characters from popular movies like Shrek, Trolls and Kung Fu Panda to life. Visitors are invited to embark on a journey of culinary exploration from July through November at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. This festival promises a memorable experience fueled by global flavors, innovative dishes and immersive culinary experiences.

Beyond the theme parks, Orlando is home to a variety of attractions and experiences that maintain its magic, including Gatorland, where visitors can zipline over alligators in the reserve, and ICON Park, an entertainment complex on the famed International Drive that houses the Orlando Eye the Museum of Illusions and the Orlando Slingshot, the tallest slingshot ride in the world, measuring at 91 metres in height. Orlando also hosts a variety of summer events and festivals, including Welcome to Rockville, the biggest rock festival in North America. From May 9-12, visitors can immerse themselves in a versatile lineup featuring over 150 bands.

New accommodations coming soon include Villatel Orlando Resort, offering private villa rents with resort-like amenities including a waterpark, fitness center and restaurants. Designed for nature lovers,  Cabins at Fort Wilderness is set within a forest oasis of cypress and pine, offering accommodations like tent and RV camping, as well as fully furnished cabins. For ultimate relaxation, unwind at the newly opened Conrad Orlando, the destination’s first Hilton luxury brand. Located at Evermore Orlando Resort, the property has over 400 rooms, a luxurious spa with numerous dining options, all with stunning views while overlooking a golf course and Evermore Bay’s crystal lagoon and sandy beaches.

In April 2024, the Michelin Guide added five restaurants to the Orlando Michelin Guide, bringing the total number of establishments to 48,  including seven starred venues, 11 Bib Gourmands and 30 Recommended.
